Speech
Students who require related services, and not a special education classroom, participate in our Building Early Success Together (BEST) Program.
Depending on the individual students' needs, this program provides Designated Instructional Services (DIS) such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, deaf and hard of hearing services, and other related special education services. Activities include typical preschool activities such as circle time, centers for specific skill practice and independent choice. These services may be provided in small groups or individually, depending on the students' unique needs. Preschool speech groups are typically no more than three to four students supported by a Speech/Language Pathologist, Speech/Language Licensed Assistant (SLPA) and or a bilingual instructional assistant. Embedded within the program is monthly parent training and consultation which occurs at the time of one of your child's regularly scheduled services.
